Whether in the mirror or in photographs, we most typically view ourselves only in face forward views.
It is only in photographs or profile that we appreciate how others view us. In profile, the chin may look recessed or weak, undermining the harmony of the face. The nose may look longer and an overbite may be more pronounced. A double chin may appear exaggerated if the chin is too small.
Fortunately, this problem can be quickly and permanently corrected. For smaller corrections, a chin implant is placed through an incision inconspicuously placed beneath the chin crease. For more pronounced problems, chin correction can be accomplished through advancement of the chin.
